The Wire manufacturers are moving from Acid Cleaning to Mechanical Descaling of Wire Rods to reduce the adverse environmental impact. This also helps in reducing the costs of wire manufacturing. In the Mechanical Descaling process, the wire rod is passed through Bending Rollers that bend the wires in multiple directions. This removes more than 90% of the scale from the Wire Rod surface. However, there are still some Fine and Sticky scales along with dust particles, which remain on the Wire Rod surface.
